You know that feeling when you are sitting around a table with friends or family, enjoying a meal and the company of others? It’s a comforting warmth, one that feels familiar but still excites me every time. Just sitting with loved ones during a meal can turn any mood around.
Did you know that eating with others can improve the overall health of everyone involved? Physical and emotional health. It’s a great time to connect with the people you love most, all while promoting healthy lifestyles.
This is something so important to my family and I. During the day, our schedules are so hectic that we often don’t all see each other until dinner time.
Last month, I introduced Billion Family Dinners, a program with an app that encourages people to eat with others, and track their meals together. My family and I have enjoyed using the app – it’s so easy and my girls love watching the timer! I love it because it gives us conversation starters that often end in hilarious conversations.
For the next two weeks, Billion Dinners is challenging all of us to eat ten family meals. Your family can be your actual family, or friends, coworkers, anyone that you can sit down with and connect to over a meal.
